Inspiring

I am a fan of only one person who I don't know personally:  Susan Boyle.

Why am I her fan?  She took care of her mother for as long as her mother needed someone.  THEN, she pursued a dream.  She always had that phenomenal voice, but she didn't need a huge stage while someone she loved had a need.  I admire her.  I want to meet her -- but only to tell her thanks for her example.  I'd write a little story for her, and maybe she'd sing me my favorite song, if she knows it.  We'd be fast friends, I'm sure.

I'm one of the millions that helped her album go platinum, and it wasn't because of the voice that I bought it.  Until I get my chance to thank Susan Boyle, I'll sit back, and remember the moment the world discovered the voice attached to the beautiful heart. I watch Susan Boyle perform. I'm not really into music. In fact, her album is the only one I bought that year. I still get chills from listening.

How I wish my friend, Patricia, could have a moment when she got three "yeses" from famous people. She does so much good, and doesn't get much yes. Maybe you've got friends like that too.
